Senior Business Development Executive, Apex Contracting and Restoration

Garilee Chuma is a business development executive with nearly 20 years of experience, including the past six years at Apex Contracting & Restoration. In her role, she connects property management and ownership teams with trusted solutions across restoration, construction, and specialty services. With over a decade in the construction industry, Garilee is known for building strong relationships, simplifying complex projects, and serving as a reliable resource during both planned work and unexpected emergencies.

Garilee is a proud OLP alumnae, Class of 2003, and a graduate of San Diego State University, Class of 2009. Her career has been deeply rooted in networking and relationship-building, and she remains actively involved in several professional organizations within the property, facilities, and commercial real estate industries. Garilee has served on the boards of PHCC San Diego and the San Diego MSA chapter, and currently participates in and volunteers on committees for IFMA, SCRHA, BOMA, IREM, and CREW San Diego. In 2024, her team was honored with the PHCC California Trusted Contractor of the Year Award.

Throughout her career, Garilee has been a passionate advocate for women in the trades. She regularly speaks at women’s organizations and industry events, sharing her experience navigating a traditionally male-dominated field and encouraging young women to explore careers in construction, property management, and commercial real estate.

Outside of work, Garilee is a proud mother to a 10-year-old daughter and spends much of her time supporting her through activities, adventures, and everyday growth. As an OLP alumnae, she hopes her daughter will one day have the opportunity to build the same lifelong sisterhood and sense of community that helped shape her own experience at Our Lady of Peace.
