Jillian Wright
Firefighter Paramedic & EMS Instructor
Jillian Wright is a Firefighter Paramedic with over 15 years of experience in emergency medical services. A graduate of Palomar College’s Paramedic Program, she now serves as an Adjunct Instructor teaching Paramedic and EMT courses. She also serves on the CoAEMSP Advisory Board Committee, contributes to accreditation efforts, participates in student mentorship, and conducts paramedic internship field evaluations.
Jillian brings extensive frontline experience from high-acuity 911 systems, having worked for multiple fire departments and ambulance agencies throughout San Diego County. Her clinical background includes trauma response, medical emergencies, disaster operations, and community-based care, including service on the San Diego County Operation Collaboration COVID-19 Vaccine Team.
In addition to patient care and teaching, Jillian is a certified ACLS, PALS, and CPR/AED instructor deeply committed to education. She is also an active member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, reflecting her commitment to professional growth. Her dedication to clinical excellence and service has been recognized with multiple honors, including the North County Business Chamber Hero Award and Palomar College’s Matthew & Marion Dietchman Award for Clinical Excellence.
A San Diego native, Jillian enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also in the fire service, and their two children. She is passionate about empowering future healthcare professionals, supporting women in emergency medicine, and creating meaningful impact through education and compassionate service.
