Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator

Miriah Boettcher ‘09, MSN, RN, has dedicated over a decade to Sharp Memorial Hospital, beginning her career as an Emergency Department nurse and now serving as the Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator. She brings extensive expertise in trauma clinical care and leads evidence-based initiatives for injury prevention and trauma recovery. Her work includes community outreach programs focused on education, empowerment, and long-term support for trauma survivors. Her publication "Power of Mentorship for Recruitment and Retainment of Trauma Staff" explores the critical role mentorship plays in building and sustaining trauma teams. It highlights Miriah's development and oversight of a clinical education program for unlicensed trauma technicians, designed to provide structured mentorship and support their future healthcare career goals.
