Lauren Szumski graduated from the Academy of Our Lady of Peace in 2020. She went to Loyola University of Chicago to pursue her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing. She was a member of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) and participated in the Student Nurses Association of Illinois (SNAI) Board of Directors as director of membership from 2023-2024. She graduated in 2024 and is currently working at Palomar Health in Escondido as a Nurse Resident on the Ortho Acute floor. Her professional inspirations are to join labor and delivery and NICU nursing. Lauren is a member of Sigma Theta Tau nursing excellence society. She is also a member of American Nurses Association (ANA) and American Nurses Association California. Lauren enjoys walking her dogs and reading in her free time.
