Manufacturing Engineer at Blue Origin

Shivani Sodawala serves as Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at Blue Origin, where she leads critical operations for the New Glenn rocket program. Her expertise is in aerospace manufacturing processes and team leadership. As the Operations leader for New Product Introduction, she oversees resource planning, build and flow generation, process development, and tooling management across all rocket stages.

Previously, Shivani scaled a manufacturing engineering team from 8 to 22 engineers at Blue Origin, establishing standardized training and mentorship programs. Before Blue Origin, she worked at GKN Aerospace as a Manufacturing Engineer supporting Boeing 787 and 737 MAX programs, where she led Zero Defect Manufacturing initiatives.

Shivani is also the founder of My Tutor-To-Go LLC, providing personalized and affordable educational services since 2021.

She holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University, where her research on electromagnetic propulsion was presented at the International Electric Propulsion Conference, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from India.
